A Flower Pot of Love for Mom

A picture is worth a thousand words. This flower pot with a picture of the family or grandchildren makes this a charming reminder that mom is loved!


What materials did you use?

~ various scrapbook papers
~ various ribbons
~ foam shaped butterflies
~ foam shaped flower letters
~ green acrylic paint
~ polished glass rocks
~ small ceramic pot
~ button
~ tape
~ 3 dimensional embellishment
~ 3 wooden sticks
~ 5 straws


How did you make your homemade Mother's day gift?

1. Paint wooden sticks with green acrylic paint and let dry.

2. Cut a flower shape out of scrapbook paper and add a button to it's center. Place on wooden stick and tie a ribbon.

3. Make a frame out of scrapbook paper and add desired picture. Add 3 dimensional embellishment and add a typed phrase. Place on wooden stick and tie a ribbon.

4. Add a quote to scrapbook paper and embellish with a foam shaped butterfly. Place on wooden stick and tie a ribbon.

5. Cut straws to desired height and write words on scrapbook paper to describe your mom/grandmother. Attach each word to each straw.

6. Place each stick and straw in ceramic pot. Fill with polished glass rocks.

7. Embellish the pot with a strip of scrapbook paper and spell out mom with the foam flower shaped letters.
