Advent Calendar

I wanted to make some advent calendars for my adults kids and some friends this year, and here's how I made them...

I bought 200 library book pockets. I glued cheery Christmas paper to the fronts. I cut 2 inch circles out of card-stock, then used number stickers to make 8 sets, each numbered from 1-25.

I then cut out rectangular card-stock cards to fit in the pockets, printed out some Christmas thoughts (messages) and glued one to each card.

After putting the cards in the pockets, I punched holes in the corners of each pockets and hooked each set of pockets together with a ring. I tied cute Christmas ribbons on the rings.

I think they came out well and are a nice way to prepare for Christmas!

Neat idea!

Your calendars look great! What a neat idea to use library book pockets - where did you get a hold of them though?

Stephanie, I looked everywhere. The school supply store in town had some, but not enough. They offered to order them, but it was cheaper for me to just find a school supply store online and order from them.
