These homemade Valentine cards are easy peasy!

Who did you make it for?

My officemates who have kept on bugging me to sell them handmade Valentines Cards to give to their better halves. They keep me sane despite the work pressure, the never-ending deadlines, the delayed paydays and the crunch times.. lol. I could not ask for better workmates than these ladies!

What materials did you use?

Patterned papers, stamps and inkpads.

How did you make these homemade Valentine cards?

  1. Cut your card in the dimension of your choice. For these, I went for 22cm x 13.5cm cards using plain white cardstock.

  2. Fold in half to create a two-fold card.

  3. Design the card using different materials available, only your creativity can set the limit! You can make them really simple by using heart cutouts and ribbons or you can go the extra mile and decorate them with brads, buttons, stickles and other supplies.

Anything else you'd like to share about your homemade Valentine cards?

I practiced with distressing edges on these cards. I love how the brown ink gave them a bit of a vintage look and the dimension it created. It also gave the hearts emphasis, which was really what I wanted..

TIPS: Buy your envelopes first. That way, all you have to do is make your cards based on the size of your envelopes. It's much harder finding envelopes that will fit your already-completed cards. Have fun!
