Foam Picture Frame

Framed photos make a great gift for Mother's Day and here's two foam picture frames that even kids can help make. Stick on a special photo, glue a magnet on the back and you will make a Mom smile every time she looks at it!


What materials did you use?

• Foam sheets with stick on paper backing


• Thin wire or pipe cleaners


• String


• Buttons


• Magnets


• Black marker

How did you make the foam picture frames?

TEA FOR TWO TEACUP

Using pattern, cut 1 solid piece from foam but do not remove paper backing. This one will remain intact, making project more sturdy. Cut out cup, saucer, flowers and leaves. Cut out the circle for the photo. Cut photo into circle slightly larger than photo opening.

Remove backing from cup and stick the photo on. Curl thin wire around a stick and remove. Leave end straight and stick on back side of cup. Also stick on one end of a piece of string for tea bag heart.

Adhere cup and saucer in place on top of solid back foam piece. Peel and stick the flowers and leaves on to the saucer. Glue on buttons to center of flowers. Cut heart from piece of foam and stick onto the end of string. Write saying with black marker. Glue magnet on back.

BEACH BUG

Using pattern, cut solid piece of car from foam but do not remove the paper backing. Cut out all car parts and windshield opening for photo. Cut photo slightly larger than opening. Peel the back off and stick photo on. Peel all parts and place on solid back piece.

Glue buttons on for head lights. Draw detail lines with black marker and write saying on license plate. Glue magnet on back.

Foam sheets are easy to work with and also a lot of fun. This could be a great rainy day project to make with kids and they can even have fun posing for a new photo!
