Homemade "Worlds Best Mom" Canvas

I made a canvas layout for my mom for Mother's Day. I tried to use many pictures showing smart looking women. To me, my mom is a "Woman of Substance". She made so much of a difference in my life, so I wanted to show how bold she was, how charming she was and above all how kind she was.. :) This layout is for my mom.. :)


What materials did you use?

• 14x17 Canvas, purchased at Micheals.
  
• Graphic 45 papers
  
• Mod Podge - Matt
  
• Glue applicator
  
• Galeria Acrylic paint - Red and Yellow
  
• Wild Orchid Flowers - Roses of different size
  
• Hot Glue for the flowers
  
• Tim Holtz Alphabets
  
• Mom's pic :)
  

How did you make it?

Step 1 -> Mix the red and yellow acrylic paints to get the orange colour and paint the whole canvas, including the sides, then let it dry.

Step 2 -> Mod Podge the whole canvas (taking care not to make bubbles) and let it dry.

Step 3 -> Make 2 frames from Graphic 45 12x12 pattern paper.

Step 4 -> Mod Podge each frame on to a 12x12 Graphic 45 pattern paper. (Use glue applicator for mod podge)

Step 5 -> Mod Podge the 1st 12x12 paper to the top left side of the Canvas. (Use glue applicator for mod podge)

Step 6 -> Mod Podge the 2nd 12x12 paper to the lower right side of the canvas. (Use glue applicator for mod podge)

Step 7 -> Using a glue applicator add all the desired pictures on the interested locations..

Step 8 -> Mod Podge the whole canvas surface multiple time with 1 hour time interval. (Use glue applicator for mod podge)

Step 9 -> With the Alphabet stickers stick "Worlds best MOM" on the left over area.

Step 10 -> Add flowers using hot glue gun.

Step 11 -> Add the photo of your choice at the bottom left side :)
