Recipes from the Heart (Recipe Box and Card)
Recipe Box 1
Recipe Box 2
Sweetie Pie Card
A Shabby and Fun recipe box for all those heartwarming treats and a matching card!
Who did you make it for?
I am giving this to my Mom for Valentine's day!
What materials did you use?
A wooden recipe box (can be found in ACMoore and other craft stores), Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen papers, tags, cutouts, crystals and rub-ons, ribbons, small wooden spools(Michaels Crafts wood section), white paint, red and blue inks, chipboard alphas, chipboard heart, small metal pot and ladle, hot glue gun.
How did you make it?
First paint the recipe box white. When dry, adhere papers to the front and sides of box. Add crocheted ribbon to bottom front of box and metal ladle to left front.
For the "rolling pin" paint a small wooden spool white, then adhere red gingham ribbon to center, and hot glue chandelier shaped crystals to each side. Adhere to front of box.
Cover a chipboard heart with paper, ink sides with brown ink, add tag to center and adhere to top of box.
Add ribbons, hand drawn oven mit shaped papers, rub-ons, red and blue inked alphas, tags and small metal pot(Joann's) to top of box.
Use same elements for card.
Anything else you'd like to share about your project?
A great keepsake that will be treasured for a long time for that special someone that is useful and can be used all year long! Before giving as a gift, fill inside of box with some of your special recipes!
