Retro Baking Homemade Gift Basket

I made this basket for my best friend, who loves to bake and adores all things retro!

What's in it?

- I found some adorable vintage cookie cutters at an antique shop.
- Retro inspired, pink polka dot apron.
- Handmade cupcake stand.
- Recipe cards with yummy recipes printed on them.

What did you use for the basket/container and wrapping?

I used a small cake pan and lined it with doilies. Pretty simple and inexpensive, I must say. :)

Anything else you'd like to share about your gift basket?

I love to incorporate handmade items as well as store bought items in the gift baskets I give. In this basket, the handmade items are the cupcake stand and the hand written recipe cards. To make the cupcake stand, you simply glue gun a candle stick underneath a small plate and let dry. So fun and simple!

Thank you!

The glue gun worked for me just fine, however it didn't work so well for my sister when she made one. She said epoxy glue would be your best bet to use for the cake stand. So, perhaps try the epoxy glue first just to be safe! :)

Cool way of making a retro cake stand! (Does the hot glue hold on strong enough though?) I also love the personal touch of including hand-written recipe cards :-)
