Valentine Surprise: Coffee with Love
Who did you make it for?
This homemade Valentine surprise is specially made for my BETTER half, my greatest supporter and my best friend: my husband. He loves coffee every morning as soon as he gets to the office. Our company has this cafe which delivers coffee to any department in the building. I gave this to the store manager a day before Valentine's Day and requested him to use it for my husband's morning latte on February 14, which happens to be today here in the Philippines.
What materials did you use?
For this project, I used a patterned paper cup, coffee stirrer, white cardboard, coloring pens, corrugated recycled paper, scissors, sign pen, and of course, double-sided tape.
How did you make it?
I started by cutting a strip of corrugated recycled paper to use as a cup sleeve. I then decorated by cup sleeve with paper cutouts and handwrote a message that says, "You know me better than anyone else. Thanks for loving me anyway.." I also decorated the coffee stirrer with a flower cutout to match it with my cup sleeve.
Anything else you'd like to share about your project?
Save for the cup and the stirrer, all other materials for this project were recycled materials. I'm a big fan of saving mother earth and so is my husband. A gift does not have to be expensive in order to be special. What matters is the thought and the message you would like to convey.
