Father’s Day Coloring Crafts That Make Perfect Gifts
There is nothing more special than when a child makes a Father’s Day gift themself. It’s the type of present that will last a lifetime and mean so much more than a gift card or golf club.
For example, kids who like coloring will love our printable Father's Day coloring cards! I used to make gifts for holidays when I was a kid, and I wish I’d had some of these tips and Father’s Day coloring pages to help me.
Make Your Own Father’s Day Card
Let’s start with the most classic of Father’s Day crafts - a homemade Father’s Day card. You can use any of our Father’s Day coloring pages as a great starting point or go for one of our free printable Father’s Day cards.
If you use a coloring page, make sure you size it so it prints on just one quarter of the page. This will be necessary in order to fold the coloring sheet into a card. Then you can color it as usual. Make sure you write something special inside to tell Dad how much you care.
Decorate a Picture Frame to Help Create Memories
A picture frame is a great gift for dad. You can put in a picture of him and his children ahead of time even. But you can make that frame even more special by decorating it yourself, and our Father’s Day coloring pages can help.
Some of the coloring pages include small designs like hats, presents, fish, and hearts. After coloring them, you can cut them out and glue them along the edge of the picture frame.
Try also using things like stickers, loose change, candy, and many other things. Whatever you choose, make it personal so Dad knows you were thinking about him.
Go for a Classic Paper Tie
What’s a more classic Father’s Day gift than a tie? In this case, it’ll be a paper tie. This is a super simple design, so kids can cut it out and decorate it on their own. A tie shape is basically a triangle on top of a big, elongated diamond. You can find designs to trace or freehand it yourself. Then it’s time to decorate.
If you draw your tie directly on a Father’s Day coloring page, you could create an interesting design with minimal extra work. Or you can go for blank construction paper and add in things like stickers, glitter, and your own freehand doodles.
Write a personalized message on the back to say Happy Father’s Day!
Turn Dad’s Favorite Candy into a Superhero
For this craft, you’ll want a candy that comes in the form of a bar. This could be a thing like a Crunch bar, Snickers, Milky Way, or another candy that’s a similar shape. Make sure whatever candy you pick, it’s one of Dad’s favorites.
Design a superhero face with construction paper (maybe that superhero even looks like Dad!). The cape can also be construction paper. The face will go on top, while the cape should wrap around. Get creative with your design and don’t forget to include a personal message.
