How to Print Your Christmas Gift Tags
- Click on the gift tags you want to print, then download and open the PDF.
- Pro Tip! A color laser printer will yield the best results.
- If you don’t have access to a printer, you could try a shipping center or library near you.
- High-quality, thick paper, matte photo paper, and sturdy card stock make for the best printing materials if you have them available. If not, you can print your free Christmas tag and glue it onto something sturdy later.
How to Make DIY Christmas Gift Tags
You can make your very own Christmas tags right at home. Some of these might not be what you expect!
Ornament Gift Tag
After enough Christmases, we all end up with some leftover ornaments that don’t make it onto the tree anymore. Put them to good use as a festive and adorable Christmas gift tag. These are definitely more three-dimensional than our printable Christmas tags, so they may not work for all circumstances, but if they’re right for you, they’re as easy as tying the old ornament onto your Christmas bag or box. If you used ribbon to decorate, you can add the ornament to that.
Evergreen Gift Tag
Few things are as iconic during Christmas time as a classic evergreen Christmas tree. For this Christmas tag, snip off a tiny bit of your own tree at home. You can glue it to a bit of card stock or just secure it to your package. As an added bonus, it will make your whole gift smell great.
Gift Card Gift Tag
You can combine gifts and gift tags with this one. This will work a lot like a printable Christmas tag since a gift card is typically a pretty thin item. You may want to keep whatever packaging or sleeve the gift card comes with. It’ll be easiest to punch a hole in that and tie it to your package. Don’t forget to address it to your giftee.
Cardboard Gift Tag
Finally, you can also go a true DIY route and make your own gift tag starting with a humble bit of cardboard. From there, you could glue on one of our printable Christmas tags, or you can design your own custom tag. You could make a snowman out of puff balls or glue on a bit of evergreen tree or mix and match from old ornaments. This one is truly up to you!
