🍁 Welcome to the Fall Coloring Contest! 🍁
This year, for our coloring contest, we picked pumpkin patches as emblematic of the things we love about fall—the changing of the leaves, the cooler weather, and the fun holidays. Join us in honoring all the life and color of the autumn season by participating in our free community Fall Coloring Contest, open to everyone who loves art, nature, or just a good excuse to break out the coloring utensils. Choose your coloring page, get messy, and let your creativity do all the talking!
Once the contest opens on September 21, the entry coloring pages will be available to download below!

Submissions open on September 21, and all entries are due by October 2, 2026.
How to Participate
- Choose Your Coloring Page: Select either the Easy Coloring Page or the Hard Coloring Page. You can submit up to one of each category!
- Color it in: Grab your favorite colors and make the page your own!
- Submit Your Artwork: Scan or take a clear photo of the finished artwork and submit it through the provided form below. Submissions will only be accepted through the form below.
Deadline for Submission
Submissions open on September 21, and all entries are due by midnight, October 2, 2026.
Prizes
The winners of the Fall Coloring Contest will
- Be featured in a special gallery on our website
- And receive a personalized hand-drawn coloring page created just for them by our talented illustrator, Carla Pinto!
Contest Rules & Guidelines

One submission per person, per category
- Each submission must be submitted separately on the form.
- The coloring page submitted must be one of the official contest coloring pages.

How to Enter:
- Take a clear photo or a scan of your work.
- Make sure the image is bright, clear, and easy to see.
- Double-check the quality before you send!

Do not submit anything offensive
Entries with inappropriate words, images, or themes will be immediately disqualified. -
Create your own original work
We want to see your creativity and personal artistic style - no AI use and no copying! -
Judging Criteria:
Entries will be judged based on creativity, use of color, artistic expression and how well you bring your artwork to life!
All judge's decisions are final. - Community Vote! Members of the Homemade Gifts Made Easy community will vote on their favorite coloring pages through our newsletter! The Community Prize Winner will also receive one of the prizes. To be eligible to be a Community Prize Winner, opt into sharing your entry through the newsletter on the submission form.

Fun Facts About Pumpkins
- Pumpkins are technically considered fruits because they are 90% water and have seeds.
- They originate in Central America and have since spread across the globe!
- There are hundreds of types of pumpkins.
- You can eat every piece of the pumpkin—seeds, stem, flowers, leaves, and skin!
- Not all pumpkins are orange—they also come in white, yellow, green, and blue.

Ways to Have Fun in the Classroom
- Create your own pumpkin patch - No, we’re not saying start growing pumpkins, but have your class create their own pumpkin and display it as a patch on the bulletin board!
- Learn your weights! Set up a small scale weight competition. Fill plastic pumpkins with various materials and have your students try to make the heaviest pumpkin.
- Paint a tiny pumpkin. If you have space in the classroom, let the students paint their very own tiny pumpkin to place on display. This helps teach them about color, texture, and keeps the fall spirit alive!
- Take a field trip. Some pumpkin patches have hayrides, bounce houses, painting, petting zoos, and more fun activities for kids. Nothing screams fall like a visit to the pumpkin patch!
Helpful Tips on Choosing the Perfect Pumpkin
- Avoid ones that are already cracked, split, or have soft spots.
- Look for a bright green stem.
- Don’t carry your pumpkin by its stem—creating stress on the stem can cause it to split.
- Finally, a mature pumpkin will not scratch if you gently attempt to press your fingernail into the orange rind.
