Basketball Crafts to Play With Off the Court
Once you're done coloring your basketball coloring pages, the fun isn’t over. You can take your love of the game to the next level by incorporating basketball crafts into your home.
Make a Basketball Wreath
It’s super simple to make a basketball wreath, and some of these basketball coloring pages can help you do it. All you really need is a nice image of a basketball. If you’re getting it from one of our NBA coloring pages, color and cut out the simple basketball outline.
Make sure to print enough balls to make a wreath shape. It’s a good idea to glue them onto something sturdy like cardstock. You can even mix and match with other sports to make a general sports wreath.
Create Your Own Court Out of Cups
It’s tough having to sit at home and dream about basketball without being able to play it, but this simple craft will let you safely play indoors. All you need are some plastic cups and a board to tape them to.
Tape the cups at different heights and assign them different point amounts. Make your ball out of wadded paper so it’s light and won’t knock down the cups. You could also use something like a pom pom or rubber ball. For extra flair, decorate your board in basketball colors or paint it to look like a basketball jersey.
Create Simple Paper Plate Basketballs for a Collage
You can make your own basketballs out of paper plates. All you need is a bit of paint and maybe some markers.
Make sure you have those distinctive basketball colors on hand, then simply paint the back of your plate. A black marker works well for drawing on the lines. You can add other decorations as well, even cut out pieces from basketball coloring pages to complete your design. Hang up your basketballs or make them part of a fun sports-themed collage.
