Free Football Coloring Pages
Last updated: July 24, 2025 by the Homemade Gifts Coloring Team
I’ll never forget the first time my grandfather took me to an NFL football game. That football field was the coolest thing I'd seen, and I hope these NFL football coloring pages can capture some of that magic for you the same way they do for me. No matter who your team is (I’ll even forgive you for being a Philadelphia Eagles fan if I must) you can find cool football drawings that will be super fun for your kids and get them hyped for game day.

Color in football fields, realistic football coloring pages, and football player coloring pages all right here. Print a bunch and set them out with the chips and dip before the game. You can even throw a whole superbowl or football party with crafts for the kids.
Football Coloring Pages
Ready, set, hike! We have football player cartoons and NFL football coloring pages to kick off game day with a bang. Grab cool football drawings and color them in to match your favorite team, whether that’s the San Francisco 49ers, the Detroit Lions, or even the Miami Dolphins (we won’t judge).
These printables are for personal, non-commercial use only.
Football Crafts for Game Day
While you’re warming up for game day, try out these crafts. They’re great for throwing a football party or keeping the kids busy so you can focus on the game. Grab your football coloring pages and get ready to craft!
Make Footballs Full of Candy
You can make your own candy-filled footballs. All you need is construction paper, candy, and a needle and thread. You can use a football coloring page as a template for the football itself. Trace it and cut out two football shapes on brown construction paper.
You can have the kids help you sew the two footballs together. Use big, easy stitches that even children can safely manage. Before you seal it up, add in some candies. You might not want to toss this football around, as the candy will fall out, but you can give it to kids at a football party and let them tear it open for a sweet surprise.
Create Your Own Pennants for Your Favorite Team
Pennants are a tried and true tradition when it comes to NFL football. You can make your own to celebrate your team using felt and other simple craft supplies. Simply cut out a long triangular pennant shape on the felt. Make sure you get lots of different colors so kids can pick the color of their favorite team.
Then offer them things like glitter, glue, more felt, and other craft supplies so they can decorate. You might grab some bubble letters so they can spell out their team’s name.
Construct Your Own Football Field
Football coloring pages might get you hyped up for the game. If so, you can scrimmage with a simple football field you can construct right in your kitchen. You won’t need anything more than a solid surface like a tabletop for the football field.
As for the goal, take some ordinary plastic straws and duct tape them into that distinctive Y shape to make a goal. For a base, you can use a crayon box. Stick the straw into the box so your goal stands up. Then, you can make a football out of some construction paper. It’s okay if it’s just a simple triangle, as this is better for flicking through the goal.
