How to Use the Wheel of Names

Clear the existing options from the wheel, so you can start fresh.
Enter the names or options that you'd like the wheel to choose between. (You must enter two or more options.)
Make adjustments. Increase an option's weight to increase the chances of the spinner landing on it. You can also alter the color of a specific option according to your preference.
Spin the wheel! A winner card will appear, and you can choose to share the card or save if for your records. Notice that a win tally will appear next to the winner in the option list.
You can spin as many times as you like, and the tally will increase. If you would like to remove a previous winner from the name pool to increase the odds for the rest, simply click the garbage bin to the right of their name. If you need to alter your spelling, click the pencil to make an edit.

Any changes that you make to your options are held locally in your browser. This means that no one at Homemade Gifts Made Easy will be able to see what you enter as options unless you share them with us. While you may find that your options and settings remain from one use to the next, this is not a formal save state and Homemade Gifts Made Easy is not responsible for any options or data lost between uses.

Sharing Your Results

We've included a number of social sharing options for you to connect with your friends. This is useful for when you're verifying the outcome of a spin or just playing games with your friends and want to share your results.

If you're having trouble sharing, often the easiest way to troubleshoot is to download the winner card to your device, then add it to you social post or text message, similar to how you would add a photo.

Fun Reasons to Spin the Wheel of Names

The wheel of names offers a fun way to randomize picking a name, option, or outcome. It's like picking a name out of of a hat but with heightened anticipation and the ability to share your results online. Here are some of my favorite ways to use wheel spinners throughout my day.

Pick names for raffles and giveaways. Using a picker wheel is a great way to randomly and verifiably choose a name for raffles and giveaways. You can even weight certain names more, if they have more entries in the raffle. Plus, with the sharing option, you can send the winner card straight to your participant list.
Incorporate it into board games or trivia with the family. Use it to pick teams or randomize questions.
Use it in tabletop gaming. Most tabletop games depend on an element of randomness that comes from rolling dice. But there's a reason game shows have contestants spin the big wheel: it's way more entertaining! Increase the anticipation in your games by adding outcomes to the wheel spinner.
Challenge yourself! Trying out a new artistic techniques, new exercise routines, new recipes, or trying to shake up the same old routine but need some help deciding how? Put a few options on the wheel and give it a spin to find your next challenge.
