Creepy, Crawly Spider Crafts

Get ready for Halloween with these simple spider crafts. They’re great to do with the kids.

Rock and Pine Cone Spiders

Head outside for this one. Find a nice rock or pinecone to use as the base of your spider. You can paint the rock if you like (perhaps black or perhaps with a design to match some interesting spider colors). You can also add things like googly eyes. Then attach some pipe cleaners for the legs.

Popsicle Stick Spiders

This one is pretty similar, except you’ll be using popsicle sticks. Glue three or four side-by-side for the “body” of the spider. Then you can attach four on each side for the legs. Paint your spider to really bring it to life, using the spider coloring pages as inspiration for spider colors and patterns.

Easy Paper Plate Spiders for Decoration

This one is a fantastic Halloween decoration you can hang up at home or in the classroom. All you need is a paper plate and more of those pipe cleaners. The plate will be the body and face of the spider. You can simply color it, or you can add fun details like glitter and googly eyes. You can even cut out designs from the spider coloring pages above and add those to the designs.

Pompom Spiders

Finally, pompoms make for soft and cute spiders. If you grab a spider web printable you can even stick them to that since they’re so light and simple. The pompom will be the body, with pipe cleaners for legs and googly eyes helping to make the face. Don’t worry about making a realistic spider. They can be any spider colors you like!

Pumpkin Coloring Pages

Where's the best place to find a Halloween spider? Definitely in the pumpkin patch! Or maybe, hanging from your front porch among your Halloween jack-o-lanterns?
