Make Your Own Classic ‘Fold & Cut’ Snowflakes
This craft is a true classic. If you want a stunning snowflake like what’s in our snowflake coloring pages, all you need is some construction paper and scissors. Come on, we’ll walk you through every step of these “fold and cut” snowflakes!
Step 1: Get a square piece of paper and fold it diagonally in half.
Step 2: Fold the resulting triangle in half.
Step 3: Make two more folds from the edges toward the middle. This should result in a skinny triangle with two protruding edges.
Step 4: Now you can draw a design along one side. Make sure you leave a folded edge intact so your snowflake doesn’t fall apart. Go here to download templates that will offer not just designs but also guidelines for the folding in steps one through three.
Step 5: Cut out your design.
Step 6: Unfold to discover your custom snowflake!
