One of my favorite winter activities as a kid was building snowmen. I was lucky to live in a place that got a good snowstorm or two every year, but even if you don’t, you can enjoy snowmen thanks to snowmen coloring pages.
These cute coloring sheets bring up memories of rushing out into the snow to start rolling up snowmen and decorating them with scarves and carrots. Maybe your kids have been out all day in the snow themselves. Offer them snowmen coloring pages while they sip on hot chocolate to warm up. Snowman Crafts That Won’t Melt
The snowmen you build outside will unfortunately melt eventually, but snowmen coloring pages and crafts won’t disappear when the sun comes back out! You can keep these cute crafts around for the whole year if you want.
Turn Old Wooden Blocks into a Snowman
If you have old wooden blocks that your kids no longer play with, you can repurpose them into a fun snowman craft. This is a great way to keep around a treasured toy that might be collecting dust at the moment. All you have to do is paint your blocks white. Don’t worry about whether they have letters or numbers on them. You can stack the white blocks and add touches like a ribbon for a scarf and painted eyes and a mouth.
Make a Snowman Out of Cottonballs
Cottonballs are a super easy way to make a snowman right at home. You can use a snowman coloring page or template and then just glue the cottonballs inside the outline of the snowman. Make sure you add some eyes and a mouth, maybe a nose, scarf, and hat as well. You can easily hang this lightweight craft on the fridge when you’re done.
Create a Sock Snowman
An old white sock can be a great base for a snowman. Stuff the sock, then tie it off into two sections, one smaller and one larger. The smaller one will be the head. You’ll want to tie off the top as well. You can hide that part under a hat, then glue on a ribbon for a scarf and buttons for eyes and a mouth.
Paint Snowman Clothespins
Gather the kids to paint clothespins that can turn into an adorable winter decoration. Using your snowman coloring pages as inspiration, draw on a face after you paint the clothespins white. You can tie on a bit of string to be the scarf. If you’re a teacher, you could hang up things like projects using the clothespins to make even homework festive and fun.
